Stephen has been Managing Director of Worksafe since January 2020. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Stephen has extensive experience as an advocate for social and economic justice – his career has been dedicated to working on economic inequality, poverty, gender equality and the environment. Stephen has also worked as a cleaner, house painter, busser, paralegal, editor and fundraiser. He graduated from Yale University (after being briefly banned for his involvement in anti-apartheid divestment activities) and UC Hastings Law School (where he worked with Ralph Abascal at the CRLA on a litigation against Provo. 187). She has experience in developing and executing loss prevention projects and security initiatives, delivering strong results and services through effective systems and processes, project delivery, business planning, and financial, risk and people management. His leadership philosophy is based on trust, collaboration and building high-performing teams. We see all angles.
